Manifestation gets a bad press. Somewhere between the vision boards and the mirror affirmations, it became either a wellness cliché or something that felt frankly a bit embarrassing to admit you were interested in. But strip all of that away and what's left is actually grounded in neuroscience, universal laws that have been around for centuries, and the simple but profound idea that you are a far more active participant in your own life than you might realise.

Dani Devren is a spiritual business mentor who describes manifestation as the golden thread running through everything she does - not a technique she teaches, but a way of living she's quietly been doing her whole life, long before she had a name for it. Her story of how a single voice note to a friend turned into her first official manifestation expert role - in the space of 48 hours!

In this episode you'll hear about:

  • Why affirmations and vision boards alone won't work - and what actually needs to happen underneath them for anything to shift
  • The difference between manifestation as a passive wish list and as something you actively participate in
  • Why the thing you think you want is probably not the thing you actually want - and what to focus on instead
  • What frequency and vibration actually mean in plain language, and why your baseline matters more than any single technique
  • The universal laws behind manifestation - from the law of attraction to the law of allowing and how they work together
  • What to do when you're genuinely struggling and the idea of a higher frequency feels about as realistic as flying
  • Why "force resists, flow creates" might be the most useful thing you hear this week
  • And why the words in spells matter more than you might think

Exploring Manifestation with Dani

[00:00:00]

[00:00:05] Sarah: Have you ever dismissed manifestation as a bit woo? The kind of thing that involves vision boards, affirmations in the mirror, and waiting for the universe to deliver your dream life while you're sitting on the sofa. You're not alone.

[00:00:21] But what if it's actually something you've been doing your whole life without realising and just calling it something else? And with a few tweaks to your technique, it could make a profound difference to your life. Welcome back to Exploring Ways to Wellness. I'm Sarah Gorev, and this week I'm joined by the brilliant Dani Devron.

[00:00:43] Dani came to manifestation through a single reading that changed everything, and within a year had done something that perfectly illustrated every principle she'd just learned about without even trying. The story is definitely worth a listen, even on its own.

[00:01:02] In this episode, we talk about why affirmations alone might not work, and what actually needs to happen underneath them for anything to shift. The difference between manifestation as a passive wish list and manifestation as something you actively participate, actively participate in. Why the thing you think you want is probably not the thing you really want, and what to focus on instead.

[00:01:29] What frequency and vibration actually mean in plain language, and why your baseline matters more than any single technique. We also discuss what to do when you're genuinely struggling, when the idea of tuning into a higher frequency feels as realistic as flying.

[00:01:48] This is a joyful, warm conversation about co-creating a life that feels good, and it's a lot more grounded than you might expect. So let's get into it

[00:02:02] welcome back to Exploring Ways to Wellness. I'm thrilled this week to have Dani Devren on with us, and we're going to be talking all about manifestation. So welcome, Dani.

[00:02:15] Dani: Hi. Thank you so much for having me.

[00:02:18] Sarah: I love this topic, Dani, because I s- feel like I've come across it from lots of different places, and I've heard the term sort of bandied around a lot.

[00:02:29] So I think it might be a really good place to start if from your perspective, if you let us know, what is manifestation?

[00:02:38] Dani: Thank you. So yeah, I think manifestation has lots of different kind of taboo and connotations and meanings around it, but what it really means is to create. We all create, and we all manifest every single day.

[00:02:48] And for me personally, it was one of the first things that I heard about when I guess I began exploring spirituality. So at the start of my journey back in 2024, I was introduced to the Akashic Records, and I had a reading with, who is still my soul coach- Mm ... Ellen. But she basically recommended some books to me, because I was so new to all of it, and I like to joke and say I live in a box.

[00:03:09] I don't know who anyone is, I've never heard of anything, and I'm not really a big academic learner, right? I like to live by kind of- what do we say? Like school of life wisdom, right? So I just like to learn my own perspective, and if it lands, it lands. So I'm not a big reader or studier. But anyway, she recommended some books.

[00:03:26] So I listened to them on Audible. Again, I struggle to make time to read. But the first one that I listened to was Universal Laws. Oh. And that is basically the art of manifestation. When you understand all the different universal laws and you learn how to embody them, then you essentially learn the gift of manifesting.

[00:03:47] And so for me, I was like, "This is incredible." And a lot of it started off around mindset, but for me, very quickly I realised a lot about nervous system awareness and your body. Mm-hmm. So over the last couple of years since I've been exploring my relationship with manifestation and what I love about it, it really has become a fundamental golden thread throughout all the work that I do.

[00:04:08] Because I just wanna help people create the life of their dreams. And of course, once you start seeking your own version of success and joy, and you create those opportunities for yourself, you essentially are manifesting. So it's just a really beautiful way to realise that you are the creator of your life, and you co-create with the universe, or source, or God, or however you choose to describe it.

[00:04:33] For me, it's one and the same, so I call it universe. But yeah, basically, top line, we can go deeper, but that's what manifestation is.

[00:04:42] Sarah: Great. So you started with the book and realising how that related to you and your personal situation at the time.

[00:04:51] Dani: Mm-hmm.

[00:04:52] Sarah: Was there a particular technique you used to then try s- manifesting yourself?

[00:04:58] Or was it a matter of just sort of listening, listening in-

[00:05:04] Dani: So I learnt that the first art of consciousness is awareness. Yes. So as soon as you become aware of something, you can very easily start to shift your perspective, your actions, your feelings, your behaviours. So for me, I all of a sudden became aware that I've often been able to manifest easily, and I just used to call it luck.

[00:05:24] I used to just thought- think I was blessed, but actually I realise that intuitively I have always lived as close to alignment with the universal laws as possible. For example, the law of attraction, of course, is the main manifestation law, right? So everyone talks about the law of attraction because of course you attract what you want to bring in.

[00:05:44] But actually, what actually needs to happen is you have to match your vibrational frequency. So this is where it gets really interesting, and this is why I love, like, the neuroscience around it and how your brain functions and how your body feels, and actually understanding the correlation to all of those parts.

[00:06:00] Your body needs to feel safe enough to call in the opportunities that your mindset is thinking about. Because if you don't feel safe or worthy to receive, you will constantly block those opportunities from coming, which is why as much as I adore vision boards and affirmations, they won't work if you are constantly in a battle with yourself internally.

[00:06:19] Because the law of correspondence is as within, so without. So what you feel within is basically the world that you create for yourself on the outside. And some of the other things that really helped me understand was the perspective that nothing ever actually happens externally.

[00:06:35] It's how we create those attachments to those beliefs internally. So for example, when I then started to learn about the Let-Them theory, which is also the law of allowing, which is my favourite universal law and the one that I probably really embodied over the last few years. So the law of allowing is, is basically trusting in divine timing.

[00:06:54] But when you learn to allow whatever is happening, and you surrender control, it really does help to attract the opportunities that you seek So, so many- so yeah, the law of correspondence, law of allowing, the law of attraction, all of these beautiful laws is basically how to manifest. But for me, because I've always been somebody who enjoys the moment, I've got a high vibrational baseline, is the way I call it.

[00:07:18] And if that sounds confusing to some people, just imagine it as the radio. So radio has frequency, music, sound, all of these things. We're all made up of energy. But essentially, you need to tune in to a certain vibration, a certain frequency. So when you think of high vibrations, so gratitude, happiness, positivity, they're high.

[00:07:37] When you're feeling sad or angry or jealous or all of those negative emotions, that's a low vibration. So I just knew that I was very blessed to have a bit of a soup, which is the only way I can really describe when you look at all your characteristics and qualities to your personality and why I love human design, by the way.

[00:07:54] That's another great one. So I was very blessed that I've got a combination of quite high vibrational characteristics, like having a positive mindset, being joyful, being grateful, just being happy to be alive. I've always been a very excitable person. So for me, I realise that because of those qualities that I was very privileged to already have, I was able to say yes to the right opportunities or to take risks or to feel as though I was worthy to try something new.

[00:08:20] So having the courage to push through any wobbles or doubts because you know you can do this, you've got what it takes, you'll learn as you go. And it's that that really helped me, I guess, in the skills of being a mentor. Because when you can really lead from example, what's the worst that's gonna happen?

[00:08:36] What is it you, that you want? Let's go do it. That's essentially manifesting. Does that make sense? Yeah.

[00:08:42] Sarah: Yeah. So you leaning into that ability to live in that high-frequency place-

[00:08:51] Dani: Mm ...

[00:08:51] Sarah: has clearly helped you to get to where you want to be and to help others do the same. What would you say to people who find that less of a natural place to be?

[00:09:04] They find themselves more in a space where they're the low-frequency-

[00:09:09] Dani: So look, we all know how hard life can be, right? I'm never one for toxic positivity, and that's exactly why therapy is so important. And a lot of the work that I do is to normalize getting help and getting support. Mm-hmm.

[00:09:20] And I speak a lot about it takes a village, because without the people around us, you know, we're not supposed to do life alone. And for me, I've always been very blessed that I've attracted the right people at the right time. I've got the right support network. I've got the right friends and mentors in business, and I've got an amazing supportive family.

[00:09:35] If you don't have those units, it's really, really hard, and that's the thing- Yeah ... life throws you curve balls, you know? We have all been through loss and grief and mental hardship. And unless you have the support, it can be really, really hard to make changes. And I think that's why I'm so passionate about being that safe space and being that friendly companionship to life's twists and turns, because I know how hard it is when you're alone and when you feel though, as though everything's against you.

[00:10:02] Yeah. But of course, my perspective on you attracting the energy that you stay in, that's why the sayings that have massively transformed my mindset are, you know, like, feed the energy you want more of. Where energy goes, energy grows. So if you feel as though life is hard, it's gonna keep feeling hard.

[00:10:19] If you feel as though you're so unlucky or you're so depressed or you're so down, that's the topic that you're telling your brain to look for. So that's why when you understand, I guess, the way the brain works and the way your nervous system feels, you understand how damaging and detrimental it is, like the way that we talk to ourselves, because we often are really hard on ourselves, and we don't give ourselves the same love, compassion, or even advice as we would our friends or our loved ones.

[00:10:46] Mm-hmm. So it then started to really help me shape how I treated myself and the things that I would say to myself, and that's what I was noticing from those around me. You know, so many of us will say things like, "God, I'm so lazy." You're not, but if you keep telling yourself you're lazy, you're gonna be doing lazy things.

[00:11:04] And it's, yeah, it's all of those things. Like, there's so many, there's so many times when we don't realise the power of our words. Mm-hmm. And again, like when I, exploring and being a bit of a sponge to spiritual stuff, I was like, gosh- Spells are just words, and they are so powerful because when you say something out loud, you're giving it weight and you're giving it power.

[00:11:25] So the way we talk about ourselves, whether it's in our own heads or out externally, it makes a difference. And I guess understanding the way the brain works in terms of the neuroscience angle, and I stay close to a lot of therapists, so I learn these things like there's a part of your brain, that seeks out things that you actively think about, and that's why they say, for example, when you're dating and you're trying to manifest your dream partner, if you keep saying, "I'm never gonna find love. I only find the wrong ones. I always find people who treat me like this," or, "I only find people who feel like this," your brain doesn't know the difference between right and wrong or yes and no.

[00:12:01] It just listens to the things that you're saying, and then it scans for that outcome. So when I realise all these things, like, God, that's so true. That's why when you think positively, when you think highly of yourself and your surroundings, and when you're so grateful for whatever you've got, you attract more of that, and I think that's where my luck was.

[00:12:20] So where I've always been pretty consistent and happy, it doesn't mean I've not been through hardship or grief, but I've just always been somebody to not seek out more of the same

[00:12:30] it's really leaning into gratitude 'cause that's what the inner work really is, and that's the, I guess, the path I've been on the last few years. 'Cause when you start exploring all this stuff you have to meet yourself.

[00:12:40] And you know, some of it's really tough when you realise, God, I was really not always my best self, or there's a lot of us that, you know, we, we act out of survival, and we don't realise it's survival because it has felt so normal for so long. But I've been doing a lot of clearing and shedding and transforming and, you know, this is why I'm a big advocate for evolution.

[00:13:00] Like, we're always changing and growing, and that's the point. We need to learn from our past and make choices.

[00:13:07] Sarah: Yeah. Yeah, definitely. I think the mindset piece is the really key area that people can get stuck in. Mm-hmm. And I think particularly a lot of what I see on the internet is there's that issue between manifestation as opposed to it just being affirmations, and I think that's the, the bit that gets lost.

[00:13:30] It's not just about I want this. Mm. I want this car, this house, this perfect life, this beautiful holiday, this amazing relationship, and if I say it to myself in the mirror enough, I'll believe it and it will happen.

[00:13:47] Dani: Yeah.

[00:13:48] Sarah: Versus the, the manifestation side, which is more that understanding, acknowledging where you are now-

[00:13:55] Dani: Yeah

[00:13:55] Sarah: but also knowing where you want to get to, and as a result, having that sort of... It's the intention.

[00:14:03] Dani: Yes.

[00:14:04] Sarah: But it's the intention that you believe that you can get to that goal, as opposed to this is a pie in the sky idea that I've got and I just hope I'll get there- Mm-hmm ... and if I say it to myself in the mirror enough, it will suddenly happen.

[00:14:18] But actually, if you have that sort of really clear goal and the intention, then your subconscious sort of seeks out those opportunities and directs your activity and your, your actions in order to achieve them. Mm. Am I right in thinking that's the-

[00:14:35] Dani: You are, you are right,

[00:14:36] a lot of us

[00:14:37] think though we can just wait patiently and it's gonna arrive. We are human first, and this is what I love about reminding people, like, yes, there's incredible information out there and there's so much spiritual, beautiful, delicious magic. However, we are here on this earth at this time to live this life, and that came with a lot of lessons and a lot of different cogs that you have to learn how to turn them, and taking the aligned action is the secret that a lot of people forget.

[00:15:03] For example, I say the universe sends you tests and lessons, and it's up to you to pass those tests. For example, the universe is gonna test you, have you learnt from last time? Are you gonna make a different choice, or are you gonna stay comfortable? Are you gonna stay familiar, or are you gonna push yourself?

[00:15:22] And this doesn't mean cause yourself stress or trauma, whatever, but it's let's push yourself through this with love and compassion. Feel the feels, but take the aligned action. And that's why we have to have the support around us to feel strong enough, because it takes courage. And I don't talk about confidence, I talk about courage.

[00:15:40] Because we can be so nervous, terrified, scared, but the courage is what pushes you through, and you feel all of that anyway, and you love yourself while you're wobbling and panicking and thinking, "Who the hell do I think I am?" You do it anyway. You take the action. You push through with courage, and then you show the universe, "This is who I am now.

[00:15:57] I've made a different choice." And it's that where I think there's a reason why we have mentors and teachers and guides and therapists, because when you're in that bit, it's really hard. Because the universe will, it'll keep sending you tests, and most of us will say, "Yeah, do you know what? It's too hard.

[00:16:12] I'm just gonna stay here."

[00:16:14] You have to take the action to get yourself in the right places, to call in the right opportunities, to be seen in the right places, to be saying the right things for those people to be on a vibrational match.

[00:16:25] Yeah. And that's why I talk about the frequency thing. Does that make sense?

[00:16:29] Sarah: Yeah, I mean, exactly. I, I think it is where people get stuck. They think manifestation is a passive activity- Yeah ... and you're just calling things in, when actually it's an active activity. Yeah. You

[00:16:42] Dani: could be calling them in, but you're missing them, 'cause you don't realise that's what you've been calling in.

[00:16:46] And the universe are like, "You want this, you want this, you want that. I'm giving it to you, I'm giving it to you." You're not grabbing it. Yeah. And it's all of that that a lot of people forget, because these opportunities are there for all of us. If you don't take it, someone else will. People are around us to help us and give us what we want and help us to get where we wanna be.

[00:17:01] But if you don't seize the opportunity, if you don't seize the moment, if you don't push yourself out of your comfort zone, if you don't take the action and do the work, you will stay still. Other people will, and they will grab the opportunities and they will grow and rise. So it's that part, and I guess that's why I've fallen into the space of being a mentor, 'cause I really empathize with that sticky bit in the middle.

[00:17:20] Like, it's really tough.

[00:17:22] Sarah: Yeah. Yeah, definitely. It feels like we're also at a time where people are being told a lot to listen to their intuition, listen to their body, but actually sometimes it can be really helpful to have a mentor or somebody on the outside who can interpret- Mm ... what's going on.

[00:17:44] Because it's easy to sit back and say, "Okay, well, my body is saying this is scary, therefore don't do it."

[00:17:51] Dani: Yes.

[00:17:52] Sarah: Or, "My intuition is telling me there's a problem, and therefore it must be trying to indicate that's not the route I should be taking." And I think it, it can be difficult yourself- Yeah ... to sometimes interpret those and go, "Well, actually, that feeling of fear is actually a feeling of excitement or a feeling of-" anticipation of what's on the other side-

[00:18:16] Dani: Absolutely

[00:18:16] Sarah: of what I'm about to do. Um, so having somebody to hold your hand or to, work your way through that can be really helpful.

[00:18:24] Dani: Mm.

[00:18:25] Sarah: So have you got any examples of where you've had something you've wanted to manifest, and the process you've gone through, and whether that has then happened?

[00:18:34] Dani: Yes. Do you know what?

[00:18:36] There's one particular story that I love to tell because it, it blew my mind when it happened, to be honest. So as I mentioned, back in 2024, my first kind of introduction to spirituality and all of this self, um, awareness, and all this work I've been doing, I was having my first reading with Helen, who's my now soul coach, and it was my Akashic Records soul realignment reading, and that's when she was telling me about manifestation, and she mentioned a few people.

[00:19:02] And it was only in that moment that I realised, 'cause again, I'd been living in a box, and I wasn't really out there in the business world. I was very much just a mum at home being an entrepreneur. But that's when I realised that you can make a living by having a positive mindset, right? So, like, Roxie Nafousi, for example, or the Manifestation Babe.

[00:19:18] And all of a sudden, I was like, "Oh my goodness, I, I could just be me." Like, I could just literally be who I am for a living, and it just blew my mind, and I was really excited, and I remember feeling I'm gonna do that. I'm just gonna be me, and I'm gonna make money that way. I thought you had to learn a skill, or you had to sell a product, or you know, you had to trade in something.

[00:19:38] But all of a sudden, I was like, "Wow, I know I'm really good at advice, and I know I'm really good at having a positive outlook." But before she told me about these other people who go around the world teaching people how to be happy, I didn't realise it, it could be my thing. So I was like, "That's what I wanna do.

[00:19:53] I wanna do that." And I guess I planted that seed, and then my human came into play and said, "Yeah, chill out." Like, "Don't try and run before you can walk. You've got some learning and growing to do." But I was okay with that, and I guess subconsciously I knew I needed to change my path. And very quickly, and it even surprised Helen because it was that weekend, I put on my first vision board workshop, and it was called Journaling for Joy, and I was holding space for journaling-

[00:20:18] Sarah: Oh, I love

[00:20:19] that

[00:20:19] Dani: and all this kind of stuff. And all of a sudden, I was kind of setting the roots 'cause at that point I was a, a small business owner. So that was kind of, like, where I was at. But all of a sudden, I was like, "I wanna do manifestation.

[00:20:30] I wanna teach mindset and positive," you know, like- life dream stuff.

[00:20:36] It was probably exactly a year later, and I was reading a magazine in the garden, and it was the end of summer, so it was, like, August last year.

[00:20:46] I was reading a magazine, and I hadn't read a magazine in years. Like, I went to uni and I studied fashion, so for years I loved glossies, you know, like Vogue- Yes,

[00:20:53] Sarah: yeah ...

[00:20:53] Dani: or, like, More magazine. I loved them, but being a mum and being busy, I hadn't picked up a magazine in probably, like, 10 years. So I'm in the garden reading it, and it was a small business, it was Buckso's magazine, The Haus of Wisdom.

[00:21:03] So I was reading this very independent small business spiritual magazine, and I voice noted my best friend, Soph. And I said, "Oh my God, I wanna write for a magazine. Like, I wanna be part of a magazine." And I just said it, didn't think much of it, and then she replied, she goes, "Oh my God, you're really good at writing.

[00:21:20] You can so do that." And I was like, "Oh, thanks. Like, I, I think I could." And that was that, right? Let it go into the cosmos. Two days later, in the space of 24 hours, I got two DMs on Instagram from different small magazines asking me for a Zoom call. So I booked one- And she was the chief editor of a magazine called Sovereign, spiritual magazine, right?

[00:21:42] And she was based in California. And on this Zoom call, I didn't really know what to expect. I didn't really piece anything together. But she'd basically been recommended my account, my business, and she wanted to ask me to be a feature writer for an edition of her magazine, right? To be on the front cover and to pay and do a, do a column.

[00:21:59] And I found myself saying, "I don't want just a one-off. Like, I wanna write for your magazine. I wanna be a part of this." And she couldn't believe it because she'd literally just had a conversation, and at the time I thought she meant her team, but now I know she meant her spirit guides. So she'd had a conversation with her spirit guides that day and said, "I want a rolling team of writers who write for my magazine every single month consistently," 'cause she hadn't had that.

[00:22:24] She just had, like, the odd features, right? So I just found myself putting myself forward, and she couldn't believe it, and she was so excited. And she said, like, "Oh, my goodness. Will you come and be the expert of manifestation?" And I was like, "What? Absolutely. I'd love to." So I got off this call, and I voice noted Soph, and I was like, "Oh, my God.

[00:22:41] I can't believe what's just happened. Not only have I just been asked to write for a spiritual magazine, I've just landed my first official manifestation expert role." And I all of a sudden realised a year ago I set myself that dream to, to be an manifestation expert. But I didn't have to work on it, I just naturally embodied it.

[00:23:00] And I guess I'd- Yeah ... just been doing the work so that people could see it, and she just saw what I was doing. And I was like, "Oh, my goodness. I've literally become what I kind of dreamt that I could be a year ago." Yeah. And that for me is, like, a really cool manifestation story because it shows all parts of it.

[00:23:18] I had an idea, which was really exciting. It was a dream. A friend affirmed that I could do it, so my body felt safe And then somebody dropped me, you know, like the universe dropped me an opportunity, and I said yes. And

[00:23:31] Sarah: you took it. Yeah.

[00:23:31] Dani: I took it,

[00:23:33] and then I put myself forward. So those things had to have happened because I could have ignored her DM, I could have not been on Instagram, I could not be checking my DM inboxes.

[00:23:42] I could have thought I'm too busy to book in a Zoom call. All those things that happens, right, in life. But I took the chance, and then even her in- invitation, I could have just accepted it. "Yeah, I'll do that fine." But I obviously took the courage to put myself forward, and then she said, "Oh my God, I've been waiting for this."

[00:24:00] And so it was that that I guess is why it's a really good example, because if you'd missed some of those parts, it wouldn't have happened. Yeah. You have to ta- listen to the nudges, right? You have to take the action. So for me, that's always gonna be my favourite story, 'cause I still write for the magazine now,

[00:24:14] mm-hmm. But that's when you have to be brave and courageous and go out of your comfort zone because your body is screaming, "That's what I wanna do. That's my thing." And then, yeah, you take the opportunities.

[00:24:26] Sarah: I love that. So there's probably a combination of things happening there, because it was a year ago-

[00:24:32] Dani: Mm

[00:24:32] Sarah: that you had that initial sort of idea. Maybe subconsciously- Yeah ... you know, you had been taking those small actions- Absolutely ... that meant you were getting on the radar of people who would give you that opportunity. Yeah. And then it meant that when the opportunity came along, you could consciously take-

[00:24:50] Dani: Yeah

[00:24:50] Sarah: the action in order to move that forward. I love that. Thank

[00:24:53] Dani: you.

[00:24:53] Sarah: You mentioned frequency earlier on. Do you mind expanding slightly on, on that in terms of what you mean- Yeah ... um, dialing into frequency?

[00:25:03] Dani: So my perspective, and of course I'm not a scientist, I don't claim to know all the answers, but it just makes sense to me.

[00:25:09] So I love the reference about the radio frequency and how you can- Mm-hmm ... tune to a different hertz. And a lot of people talk about the sound waves of music, and we all know that we're all made up of energy, so basically we all vibrate. So the law of vibration tells us that every single thing on this universe, especially us as humans, we vibrate, but depending on our signals, we vibrate at different frequency levels.

[00:25:35] So something that I was taught from an energy expert was about your baseline frequency. So for me, I would say I've always had a very consistent high baseline that I've been working on. I've been, you know, clearing and shedding some limiting beliefs to consistently higher that baseline, and I guess it's that I use to represent the work that we do.

[00:25:56] So when we are constantly doing the inner work, we're constantly getting curious, why did I respond like that? How did I react? How could I respond differently? You're constantly highering your baseline frequency because essentially the secret for all of us humans is to become so neutral that nothing affects us.

[00:26:13] So nothing positive nor negative. We are just neutral in love and light, right? It's that sort of thing. We all wanna kinda disperse into this beautiful high frequency of love energy so that we only ever feel the the joy and the positivity. Like, but what we, what's obviously really interesting about being a human is that we're supposed to feel, right?

[00:26:33] We're supposed to feel all the feels. We have compassion, we have empathy, we have fear. Yeah. And the law of polarity teaches us that you cannot have one without the other. So that to me gives me the peace that where I'm really angry or frustrated or hormonal, that's okay because I can still come back to my baseline.

[00:26:50] Like, we- Yeah ... we never give ourselves a hard time for feeling, and that's the thing about having that awareness of your nervous system and the way that you respond and react to life. So when you know you are triggered or activated, or you don't have enough sleep and then you're, you're short fused, it's okay to have those wobbles and we dip, so our frequency can go low.

[00:27:10] But then we breathe, we ground, we come back into our own energy, and then you higher it. So the more you can work on yourself, the more you are consistently highering your baseline frequency. Does that make sense?

[00:27:22] Sarah: Yeah, definitely. It's really interesting because I have heard frequency being discussed with regard to manifestation before, but in a slightly different way, in that, using the radio analogy, that you've sort of tuned into a certain frequency that's your, that's your natural state.

[00:27:42] But actually, all the frequencies are available.

[00:27:46] Dani: Hmm.

[00:27:46] Sarah: Everything is available. So if you're turning on a radio station, you'll hear a certain radio program, you'll hear certain music. All you have to do- Yeah ... is slightly change that and you'll hear a different station and,

[00:27:58] Dani: and- That,

[00:27:58] Sarah: you know what? That

[00:27:58] Dani: just gave me goosebumps

[00:27:59] Sarah: and different- That, that it did ... different music. But actually, when it comes to manifestation, what you're wanting to do is sort of, and we have the choice to do that, is, is turn your station, turn your frequency- Yeah ... to something that resonates with- Yeah ... the thing that you're wanting to achieve. And actually, the other thing I find quite interesting with that is it's, it's spoken about in terms of what you're trying to achieve isn't necessarily a thing.

[00:28:27] Mm-hmm. It isn't necessarily the car, the house, the relationship or anything like that. What you're trying to achieve is a certain feeling- Yeah ... and it's the feeling that you believe you will get from that thing. Right. And again, we can tune into that feeling in other ways. So if you can think about what it is that you want, and actually tune in to what feeling am I trying to get from having that thing-

[00:28:53] Dani: Yeah

[00:28:53] Sarah: You can then become aware and direct your attention towards achieving that feeling rather than achieving the thing, but you will resonate with that frequency, which will attract, potentially attract that thing.

[00:29:08] Dani: Absolutely. So this is the thing about vision boards and, you know, dreaming big because for a lot of people, they might have the external success.

[00:29:16] They might chase the car and the money and the career, and they're so deeply- And not achieved

[00:29:21] Sarah: the feeling.

[00:29:21] Dani: They're so deeply unhappy because they've not achieved the feeling. They've been seeking- Yeah ... the wrong things. And that is why money is such an interesting topic because you can see somebody that is so happy, yet they don't care less about money, 'cause money is energy, and for me, I've always had a bit of a romantic relationship with money.

[00:29:38] You know, money, easy come, easy go. I wanna earn it. I wanna spend it. I wanna enjoy it. I don't put too much pressure on money. So for me on a personal level, I've never intentionally sought money, and I think that's why sometimes to my husband's frustration, he's like, "Well, where's the money?" I'm like, "Oh, I've not been looking for the money.

[00:29:56] I've not been trying to make money." So I'm like, "Okay, interesting.

[00:29:59] But what gave me goosebumps when you were talking about tuning into the radio is on the negative side, right? We know we live in a world that is currently in the shadows, right? But unfortunately, what happens is some people tune into that, and they stay there.

[00:30:13] They stay scared and worried and nervous, and they find it really hard to tune into something else. And I've got a lot of empaths who are friends of mine, and they really struggle with the news. And I'm somebody that's deeply compassionate, so I will feel a story that has happened or, you know, a loss or a death or a murder or all the bad things that happen.

[00:30:32] But I can very quickly tune back into my mission, and I believe the only way to change the world is to change yourself and the little world around you. So for me, I hear it, I feel it, and then I'm like, "I've got a mission. I need to stay tuned in to my high frequency because I'm helping people around me," and I can't help people around me if I'm so triggered and traumatized by what's happening on the other side of the world, or what's happening out of my control.

[00:30:56] And it's that that makes it really hard for humans, because a lot of us care so deeply that we carry the responsibility and the weight of the world on our shoulders. And that's why getting to know yourself really well, whether it's through your astrology birth chart, your soul gifts, your human design, it allows you the permission to love those parts of you.

[00:31:14] Because when me and my friends, and colleagues, and everyone that I do business with, when we understand our human design and your birth chart, it shows you. When you have collective lines or whe- whether you have tribal lines, it shows you in all these different things why you feel the way you feel, or why you're impacted in the way you are, or where your shadows could be that are triggered by certain things.

[00:31:34] We're all so different, people need to understand when you're trying to manifest, that it's really hard if you are somebody that is so easily swept up by a certain frequency and you stay stuck there, because you have to tune out.

[00:31:48] Sarah: I think it really is that staying stuck there, I think, like you, I'm very grateful for the situation I'm in. But I think sometimes it b- can be quite easy from the perspective of somebody who doesn't necessarily have to worry about money or doesn't have to worry about what's going on in the world.

[00:32:09] I would hope that listeners can get something from this even if they do have to worry about money, or they do have to worry about what's going on in the world, because it doesn't have to be that we can only access these things if we are in a privileged position- Yeah ... which, potentially you and I are both in quite a privileged position.

[00:32:29] We've had bad things happen to us, not everybody is in that situation right now. But I think the key here with the manifestation is that we can... I- it's that, again, that directing attention. So you may be in a position where you have fear around money or the panic of, what if I can't pay the bills next month?

[00:32:55] Or, it might directly relate to you what's happening in the world that's, that, is a very negative thing.

[00:33:03] Dani: Yeah.

[00:33:03] Sarah: But as you said, it's, it's being able to pull yourself back and say, "Okay, I acknowledge that this is what's happening. Maybe I need somebody else in my collective, in my village, in my world that can help pull me out of that situation, or maybe I can park that for a moment and look at what is it that I want to do to make things better in my little moment, you know-

[00:33:33] Dani: Yeah Control

[00:33:34] the controllables, right?

[00:33:35] And acceptance is a massive part of it, right? Because essentially the goal is to manifest happiness. So we don't need money, we don't need materialism, right? There's, you know, like the prophecies, right? The prophets. Those and those, you know Sad Guru?

[00:33:50] Oh, God, I love referencing him. And those sort of like, um, what's the word? You know, they, they live in the mountains, they live off the land. They don't very much have, materialism or, or finances. However, they are so deeply happy and grateful, and it's that that we can all look upon. Because when we accept we can't control what happens around us, we can only control how we react and respond to it.

[00:34:13] Which means sometimes, for a lot of us, those more than others, we are dealt a very tricky hand. Now, we can't control the hand that we're dealt. We were dealt it for a reason, and if you wanna talk about soul contracts, that's a whole nother thing. But some of us have come to learn lessons, and they could be really, really horrendous and hard, but those lessons have come to teach us things, and it's about perspective, and emotions, and happiness, and accepting but loving yourself and showing yourself the compassion and grace to hold it for yourself. And then, yeah, having a little look around. What can I control? What can I change? What very, very small thing can I do? Because there will always be th- things that we can do, and we are in control of, that we often forget and we miss because we're so focused on the bad things that are happening, and the, the hardship.

[00:34:57] But there's so much opportunity, and support, and help out there. You just need to be courageous enough to ask for it

[00:35:03] Sarah: Yeah. And having, as you said, the courage to look to the future in a positive way because, you know, life will keep life-ing.

[00:35:12] Dani: Mm.

[00:35:12] Sarah: And, you know, as a, as a human experience, there will be good times and there will be bad times, but usually they will pass.

[00:35:20] Dani: Yeah.

[00:35:20] Sarah: Mm. And it's sort of, um, having that vision of what the future could look like so that you can start either taking the actions or subconsciously moving towards the future that you want.

[00:35:33] Dani: Absolutely. So- And it's all those tiny little mindset shifts. So-

[00:35:36] Sarah: Yeah ...

[00:35:36] Dani: one of the great piece of advice that I love, and I love to share with anyone, is when anything happens, you know, it's not done to you, it's done for you.

[00:35:43] Something is happening for you to make a change or to shift something, and these tiny little mindset reframe, frames really help our body feel safer in the moment. And again, when our body feels safe, you can hold more, your capacity is wider, you can cope with things. You then shift your, your happiness, your peace, and I think it's that that a lot of us have forgotten to focus on.

[00:36:03] All we should really be seeking is happiness and peace, you know, good health, and those sort of things. They're the things that we want to create for ourselves, and health and happiness, a lot of it comes down from removing stress, removing trauma and conditioning, and trying to remain in that high vibration and high frequency, but essentially being so grateful and open to the position that you're in, but knowing that you have got the choices to make a change and ask for help.

[00:36:29] Sarah: Mm. I think a key point you said there was the, the micro... Even if it's tiny little changes- Yeah. It all adds value ... in the actions that you take or the mindset that you have, every little one will compound into- Yeah ... a better situation. So even if you're listening to this and you're thinking, "Well, I can't relate to this.

[00:36:50] This is, you know, like, it all feels too big to be able to move- Yeah ... out of where I am right now," what's the next tiny- Mm ... little change you can make that can become a habit that can take you out of where you are now and into, into that higher vibration, into that- situation where you have the ability to call in a more abundant life, a more happier life a, a life that you're looking, looking to achieve.

[00:37:22] Yeah. So.

[00:37:23] Dani: Anyone that is really, really struggling, I just wanna remind you that being together as humans and connection between us, the divine law of oneness if, if you wanna look it up, we're all connected. So when we are literally in the pits of our shadows and we're really, really struggling, usually, and this is my personal belief and perspective, usually something is happening for us so that we can help someone else.

[00:37:43] I genuinely believe that we are all put through pain and grief and trouble so that we can help somebody else once we're through it. So sometimes it's about trusting the moment and giving yourself exactly what you need, but knowing that there is always someone else going through something. And when you can lean into the power of connection and being there for somebody, it helps you shift your own stuff, and that's why a lot of people turn pain into purpose, you know, trauma into triumph.

[00:38:09] All these things that people do, they've usually gone through their own absolute hell, and they've come out of it to help somebody else, and I think that's a really beautiful part of humanity. Mm-hmm. And for those of us that might be in that stage, 'cause we've a- we're all on different stages of our journey, if you're right in the depths of the shadows and it's really, really hard, just trust that you are exactly where you need to be, and you don't need to be anywhere else but where you are.

[00:38:32] So you don't need to think ahead or rush, and that's why divine timing helps so much. But I tr- like, trust me when I say you will get through this, and you will be able to help somebody else because of what you're going through. So-

[00:38:42] Sarah: Yeah, that's it, isn't it? It's having that compassion- So- ... for yourself in the moment-

[00:38:46] Dani: Yeah

[00:38:47] Sarah: and knowing that this too shall pass, you know? That- And

[00:38:52] Dani: better, better days are coming, you know? They are. Better days are coming.

[00:38:55] Sarah: Uh, fantastic. So Dani, do you incorporate manifestation now into what you're doing?

[00:39:02] Dani: So like I said, it's like a golden thread that's woven underneath the layers of all I do. But I guess for me, I didn't wanna just turn up and be a manifestation guru or start talking about something. I guess I wanted to genuinely do the work and walk the talk. Mm-hmm. So I just embody manifestation in the life that I've transformed and the career that I've created and the opportunities I have now.

[00:39:22] I only really talk about it as my column for the magazine and on podcasts, because you won't really find manifestation in my messaging or anything like that.

[00:39:30] It's kind of like my secret sauce.

[00:39:33] Sarah: Yeah. Yeah, it's more implicit than explicit, and, if you have the joy of working with Dani, which I, I'm pleased to say I do then you will find it comes as part of the package.

[00:39:43] Dani, is there anything else that you would say has a particularly big impact on your wellness on a day-to-day basis or in general?

[00:39:56] Dani: So mental wellbeing is really important to me, and I am somebody that has been brought up by a very busy household, a very busy family.

[00:40:04] My family's Italian, so we're known to be real fast movers, and I've struggled with sit-down guilt my whole life. But I've had to really learn how to unlearn and decondition from that fast way of doing life, because that's why life gets overwhelming, when we try and do too much. So for me, it's about slowing down and just learning to be.

[00:40:24] I think a lot of us, in the Western world especially, we are constantly moving and chasing and trying to get somewhere too fast- Yeah ... and I've really just understood the power of the art of surrender, and I do a lot of things slower now. And for example, when I've launched this recent business, I made sure it isn't going to have, like, crazy deadlines or targets, or I'm never gonna feel pressured or stressed, 'cause I know the power of peace, right?

[00:40:50] And I don't wanna ever inflict stress on myself, my family. You know, when we're busy and we, we've got kids, and we've got families, and we've got multiple businesses, we don't wanna add on more to our workload, you

[00:41:00] Sarah: know? No, definitely not. Right? We are so,

[00:41:02] Dani: we are so capable, and I do believe as women especially, we are so capable, but we have to learn to hold more, which means removing pressure and stress is, like, a priority for me.

[00:41:13] If it causes me stress, I'm not doing it. Yeah. If it doesn't bring me joy, it's not for me. I make sure- So- ... I intentionally choose things ...

[00:41:21] Sarah: do you have a particular way of accessing that peace, then? Is it through meditation or your journaling or through, you know, y- the astrology you mentioned?

[00:41:32] Dani: So this is why I call myself a bit of a rebel, because I don't meditate and I don't necessarily journal.

[00:41:36] I mean, for years I've used social media as my dear diary. So if I need to ground and regulate my nervous system, I'll prob- you'll probably find me on my Instagram story talking about my morning and calming myself down and sharing. Yeah. And that's how I-

[00:41:48] Sarah: Which is really interesting, 'cause a lot of people would find that really stressful.

[00:41:52] Dani: I know, I know. That's what I mean, I'm so

[00:41:54] Sarah: messed up. So, but that, that again is just leading into who you are, isn't it?

[00:41:57] Dani: Yeah. And my soul coach has always said to me, "That's because you're high in this," and because I'm high in communication. But also that that's... And Soph has told me through my birth chart that I heal through my words and lived experience.

[00:42:09] So when I talk things out, people get to experience my perspective, and it heals and helps their mindset. So it obviously is just the way I process and regulate. But for me, like I just... I'm just really, really aware of myself, and I think that's the key for everyone, to pause and listen and check in- Mm-hmm

[00:42:27] with yourself. How am I feeling? And for me, I see the signs really quickly. If I'm feeling, you know, you start to get flustered and overwhelmed, and you're like agitated, and you're like, "Okay, I need to stop. I need to slow down." And then I will just clear my diary. And usually what happens, and this is the art of really being able to manifest, the universe always has my back.

[00:42:43] So if I've got a really full diary, it even happened this week and you canceled a call. No, honestly it's crazy. It happens to me every time because Dani loves to do too much, right? Dani loves to fill her diary, and every now and again, I'm like, "Oh my God, I've got about five calls, a podcast, a meeting. I've got this, that, the other and a school run."

[00:43:00] And then it's as if the universe is like, "It's all right. I've got you." Yeah. And one by one my diary clears. But if it didn't, I would be courageous enough and honest enough to clear my diary. So I think that's a really important thing for all of us- Yeah ... who have built amazing businesses that are, you know, really adaptable around the school run, 'cause we have priorities.

[00:43:19] But for me, the way I manage to manage a lot is by allowing white space in my diary. Like, I'll have slow mornings where I'm not really doing anything till 11:00. I'll have a, a slow breakfast. Right now I've just started going to the gym. You know, I make sure I fill up my cup because it's that pocket of time and movement.

[00:43:36] I don't wanna do business if I don't have that. I don't wanna do any of this- Mm-hmm ... if I don't get the opportunity and the freedom to go slow and move within my day so that there's so much white space that if I spend an hour scrolling on socials or voice note-ing, then that's okay. Nothing's gonna fall apart.

[00:43:52] And I think for me this year, I've literally got it as my screensaver on my phone, it literally says, "Force resists, flow creates." Lovely. Because this year I've just wanted to really lean into surrender and trusting nothing that's meant for me is gonna pass me by. I'm never behind. I'm never running out of time.

[00:44:10] I'm perfectly on time, and I trust that, you know, when you loosen your grip and you stop trying to control everything, things come to you, and that's when you naturally start to attract and manifest. So yeah, that's my- Yeah

[00:44:24] Sarah: I love that. I love that. I mean, I definitely feel, it's whenever you're pushing, you're least likely to achieve what you want.

[00:44:32] Absolutely. And when you sit back and just allow what needs to come it- Absolutely. It's co-creation ... it can create that space. Yeah. It's creating the space to just allow those things to come in, 'cause otherwise you're just pushing against a brick wall.

[00:44:48] So, um- And

[00:44:48] Dani: you're showing the universe you've, you can hold it. You're showing the universe- Yeah ... you've made space, you surrender, you trust. It's all of those beautiful emotions and yeah. So if anyone's curious, go and look up the universal laws and read through them.

[00:45:01] Sarah: Amazing. Do you mind talking just briefly about what it is that you offer to clients at the moment?

[00:45:08] Dani: Essentially I'm a spiritual business mentor.

[00:45:09] I'll support you with the business, the marketing, and all the things. However, my role is really to support and nurture you to create your own version of your soul-aligned life.

[00:45:20] Um, so the Soul Align Mentor is my one-to-one mentorship, and recently I've launched the Soul Aligned Village because I have really been on this journey of creating community for everyone around me. It's a space to build friendship first community and connections, 'cause I'm big on friendship. And I wanna teach people the method of friendship first business, and, you know, exploring yourself by being held in a community.

[00:45:43] So- Yes, I'm the mentorship, village community. I run retreats. And I, I host workshops.

[00:45:49] I do all the things. But essentially, if you wanna find me, come and get into my world, Dani Devren on Instagram,

[00:45:54] Sarah: So thank you so much for coming on the podcast today, Dani. I've really enjoyed our conversation, and I hope people will be inspired to have a little go at some manifestation especially if before they've thought it's a bit too woo or something that's not for them. From Dani's experience, you can see we don't need to make it difficult.

[00:46:15] We don't need to put too many challenges in the way. Just give it a go and see what happens. And we'll look forward to seeing the comments on social media of what kind of things our listeners have manifested. So thank you so much, Dani.

[00:46:33] Dani: Thank you so much for having me. I've really enjoyed it. Speak soon.

[00:46:41] Sarah: Thank you for listening. What I keep coming back to from that conversation is the point that manifestation is rarely about the thing. It's about the feeling that the thing will give you, and when you get clear on that feeling, you realise there are thousands of ways to tune into that, that have nothing to do with waiting for the right car or relationship or opportunity to show up.

[00:47:07] The magazine story was such a perfect example of how this actually works in practice. A seed planted in a single conversation, a voice note to a friend, and two DMs two days later, and a Zoom call she nearly talked herself out of, and the courage to put herself forward for something she hadn't even been asked for.

[00:47:28] The universe was sending the opportunity, and Dani showed up to catch it. That's not magic, or at least it's not only magic. It's aligned action meeting the right moment. And I thought Dani's reminder for anyone who's really struggling right now was genuinely moving.

[00:47:47] That sometimes we're exactly where we need to be, and what we're going through might actually be quietly preparing us to help someone else through the same thing. Pain into purpose, that feels true. I hope you enjoyed listening. Until next time, take care of yourselves and remember, you've probably been manifesting all along. Maybe try tweaking it, take that action and see what happens

[00:48:14]
