What if the thing holding you back has nothing to do with your own life at all -but with a story that belongs to someone in your family tree, generations before you were even born?

Host Sarah Gorev welcomes back Kaz (Karen Conville), who joined her previously to talk about Ayurveda, for a fascinating conversation about family constellations -the practice of looking at the patterns, beliefs and burdens we can unconsciously inherit from our wider family system.

Please be aware: to explain the concept, Kaz uses a hypothetical example involving the accidental death of a child, and later touches on miscarriage and stillbirth. Both are handled with care, but worth knowing before you press play.

In this episode you'll hear about:

• What actually counts as "family" in this work -and why people entirely outside your bloodline can still be part of your system

• How unresolved grief, guilt or exclusion can filter down through generations without anyone consciously knowing why

• The victim/perpetrator dynamic, and how healing comes from acknowledging both sides of suffering, not choosing one

• What actually happens in a session

• Kaz's own first experience witnessing a session

• Why you don't need to bring an issue of your own to benefit -simply witnessing can be part of the healing

• What it really means to "gracefully hand back" a story that was never yours to carry

Whether you're already drawn to this work or hearing about family constellations for the first time, this is a thoughtful, open-hearted conversation about the stories we carry -and the ones we can choose to put down.
